What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy is psychotherapy that invites the process of art-making and art materials to help explore relational patterns, stressors and experience. It is a dynamic service that’s missing in many settings that support others, whether they be vulnerable, or simply working through difficult transitions in their lives.
Art therapy is a profession with a 70+ year history of helping others within mental health and human services. It is born out of a relationship built between individual(s) and a licensed, board-certified art therapist
(ex. LCAT, ATR-BC for New York state licensure).
Through the therapeutic relationship, you will be invited to address and co-create solutions.
